Francis Stevens Papers 1785-1892.

This collection includes the business and personal papers of Francis Stevens, a Marblehead, Massachusetts sea captain. The shipping papers relate to the schooners Jackin and John George and the ships Columbus and Mount Vernon. Correspondence consists mostly of letters from Abiel Wood, owner of the ship Mount Vernon. Also included are the business papers of Stevens father, John Stevens, while captain of the schooner Abigail.
